About
Ananias House bridges the distance between believers in the West and the growing body of Christ in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) through prayer, Bible training, and physical and spiritual resources to build up God’s global family in an increasingly hostile world.
Ananias House started when Brother John witnessed firsthand both the devastating impact of the civil war in Syria and the miraculous power of God in the lives of believers caught in the crossfire.
In 2009 Brother John recognized the urgent need to train pastors and leaders in the Middle East and North Africa. In this region persecution and hostility against the small body of Christ is common.
Starting with his home country in the Middle East, Brother John worked with a network of evangelical churches and developed training for pastors. This work expanded to other churches in surrounding countries with the purpose of strengthening the local church so it might reach the Muslim world with the gospel. In 2013 AH was established in the U.S. In 2017 AH gained its 501c3 status
Ananias House bridges the distance between believers in the West and the growing body of Christ in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) through prayer, Bible training, and physical and spiritual resources to build up God’s global family in an increasingly hostile world. Ananias House started when Brother John witnessed firsthand both the devastating impact of the civil war in his country of birth, and the miraculous power of God in the lives of believers caught in the crossfire. Brother John recognized the urgent need to train pastors and leaders in the Middle East and North Africa. In this region persecution and hostility against the small body of Christ is common. After churches were left with few resources to care for the enormous number of people seeking refuge and truth, an entity in the U.S. was created as an extension of the ministry in the MENA. As the work and network of churches extended into several countries. Church leaders from all backgrounds sought training, encouragement, and support as they faced oppression, persecution and neglect. These faithful men and women needed support to fight the generational impact of life under tyranny. Just like Ananias, the believers in MENA remain and in obedience reach out to their persecutor with the good news of the gospel. Ananias House seeks to preserve this heritage and proclaim the light and hope of Jesus Christ to believers and nonbelievers through meeting spiritual, practical, and tangible needs. This ministry knows by experience that it is often in the darkest times that the power of God is most evident in the MENA region. |
