Join us for our monthly networking breakfast where like-minded business professionals, owners and leaders come together to connect in service of the greater Katy/West Houston area. Format is simple! Food, fellowship and new connections for all who attend. Our member meetings are open to the public and guests are encouraged to sample an event or two before joining this growing movement among believers in local business.
Guest Speaker: Michael Kurt, VP of Finance, Tinder (Dating App)
Michael Kurt is a finance executive focused in the businesses of love, kindness, and purpose. He currently serves as Vice President of Finance at Tinder, an online dating dating app, Advisory CFO at KindWorks.AI, an AI-driven platform that encourages and empowers kindness at scale in organizations, and Advisory CFO at Brand New World Studios, a purpose-driven content studio that has built an AI-driven platform that enables individuals to discover and activate their own unique purpose.
Previously, Michael led the finance, growth strategy, and marketing analytics functions at Hinge, another online dating app, and he served as Head of Strategic Finance at Jeeves, a global FinTech company backed by Andreesen Horwitz, Tencent, CRV, YCombinator, and more. Prior to that, Michael led finance and strategy for Cycle Media, an ad agency, influencer management, and branded content studio at Wasserman, a global sports and entertainment agency, and he worked in motion picture planning, strategic planning, and business development at Paramount Pictures. Michael started his career at The Walt Disney Company, first as a character performer at Walt Disney World, and later in finance supporting the parks.
Michael became an Eagle Scout at 13 years old, earned his undergraduate degree from Mays Business School at Texas A&M University, where he currently sits on the Dean's Advisory Board, and earned his MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. While he and his beautiful wife, Alisha, lived in Orlando, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, and Dallas during the first decade of their careers, they are proud to call Katy their home with their three precious daughters, Kaitlyn (6), Olivia (4), and Nora (2), and their two dogs, Ruby and Violet.
